About the Role

As a Senior VAT Consultant, you will play a key role in managing complex VAT matters across various sectors including Healthcare, Construction, Charities, Education, Import & Export, and Family Offices. You’ll also take responsibility for overseeing compliance processes, developing internal systems, and contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee VAT-related processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Prioritise work effectively to meet internal and client deadlines
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders
• Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
• Review work prepared by junior staff to maintain high quality standards
• Assist in developing templates and processes to streamline operations
• Produce VAT audit reports and risk assessments for clients
• Contribute to marketing and thought leadership efforts, including article writing and event presentations

Who they are Looking For

• ATT qualified with solid experience in VAT advisory and compliance
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Strong leadership skills and a genuine interest in mentoring others
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Commercially aware with an ability to build and develop client relationships
• Must hold a full UK driving licence (due to rural office location)
