Job description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day operations of our busy distribution team.

Working within the Goods Receipt area, you will lead by example - coordinating daily tasks, motivating others, and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard in a safe working environment.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 2pm to 10pm.

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage inbound deliveries, including vehicle booking and document control.
• Input data for all inbound materials into business systems accurately and in a timely manner.
• Oversee the placement of inventory into designated warehouse locations using a range of forklift trucks.
• Support and guide team members by allocating tasks, mentoring, and providing on-the-job training.
• Deputize for the Goods Receipt Team Leader when required.

What you need to succeed:

• Experience and understanding of general warehouse receipt processing and overall warehouse operations.
• Experience supervising a team within a distribution environment, supporting day-to-day operational activity.
• Can maintain a consistent high level of accuracy, concentration and attention to detail whilst working under pressure.
• A confident communicator who works well with others and supports a team environment.
• Positive attitude with a strong customer-focused approach.
