Cooper Moss Rutland are currently seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Civils Planner to join our team here. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with a Tier 1 contractor to oversee the full development lifecycle of an exciting infrastructure project based in South London. Â

🔹 You'llÂ
Project Planning and Scheduling:Â
Develop and Maintain Schedules: Develop and track schedules through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.Â
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.Â
Maintain NEC compliant programmes for client submission, managing change under the contract, and reviewing subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with NEC requirements.
Resource & Risk Management:Â
Identify and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.Â
Ensure optimal allocation and utilisation of resources throughout the project lifecycle.Â
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.Â
Communication and Reporting:Â
Communicate progress and updates to senior management and clients.Â
Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, timelines, and outcomes.Â
Stakeholder Engagement:Â
Solution-Oriented Approach: Identify scheduling challenges, risks, and conflicts, offering creative solutions to keep projects on track.Â
Attend and guide client progress meetings while building relationships and maintaining regular client contact.Â
Collaborate with the client and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.Â

🔹 We’re looking for:Â
EssentialÂ
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Â
Proficient in Primavera P6.Â
NEC Contract Experience.
Knowledge and experience in elements of construction with Civils being preferred (e.g. Civils, M&E, etc).Â
Proven experience in planning and managing large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally with 5-10 years in a similar role.Â
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI).Â
Experience working on major construction and infrastructure projects.Â
Excellent communication skills, including English language and visual presentations (e.g. PowerPoint), with the ability to analyse and present information clearly and persuasively.Â
DesirableÂ
Knowledge and experience working with BIM, parametric estimating and 4D planningÂ
Qualified to degree level, would be advantageous as would having formal project management qualifications such as APM or PRINCE2Â
Membership of a professional body, APM, ICE, CIOBÂ
