SEO Specialist

BettingJobs are working with a UK focused sports betting company, with offices in Cardiff. They are UKGC licensed and have 2 brands currently, soon to be launching a 3rd. They are looking for an SEO Specialist to join their team based in Cardiff.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute an SEO strategy across multiple sports betting brands.
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and on-page optimisation.
• Collaborate with content teams to deliver SEO-optimised articles, landing pages, and site structures.
• Improve technical SEO elements such as site speed, crawlability, indexing, and schema markup.
• Manage SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Search Console) to track performance and identify opportunities.
• Work alongside developers and product teams to implement SEO best practices.
• Monitor rankings, organic traffic, and conversions - reporting progress regularly.
• Ensure full compliance with UKGC regulations and responsible marketing standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in SEO for betting, iGaming, or another highly competitive niche.
• Solid understanding of Google algorithms, ranking factors, and link-building strategies.
• Experience with technical audits, structured data, and site migrations.
• Strong writing/editing skills and ability to guide SEO content strategy.
• Up-to-date knowledge of search trends in UK sports betting and seasonal traffic patterns.
• Analytical mindset and comfort with reporting tools like GA4 and Looker Studio.
• Bonus: Experience in affiliate SEO or multilingual/localised SEO.
