SEO Specialist – Manchester – £40,000

We’re looking for a talented and data-driven SEO Specialist to join our team in Manchester. If you’re passionate about organic growth, love analysing data, and know how to drive search engine performance, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Salary: £40,000 per annum
Location: Manchester (hybrid/flexible working options)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Planning and executing SEO strategies to improve organic rankings and traffic
• Conducting keyword research, site audits, and competitor analysis
• Optimising on-page elements including metadata, headers, internal linking, and content structure
• Working with developers to ensure technical SEO best practices are implemented
• Analysing performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
• Creating clear reports and presenting actionable insights
• Keeping up to date with algorithm changes and industry trends

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a hands-on SEO role (either agency or in-house)
• Strong understanding of both on-page and technical SEO
• Skilled in using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz
• Confident using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Data Studio
• Ability to conduct technical site audits and implement recommendations
• Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Magento)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a data-first mindset
