Job Opportunity:Service Administrator - High Wycombe

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Service Administrator in High Wycombe, offering a competitive salary of £25,000 - £27,000, depending on experience.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Returns Service Administrator will work closely with Customer Service to manage instruments returning from customers. This role involves inspecting, booking in, and dispatching instruments after service work is completed. The position is approximately 60% desk-based and 40% involves moving around the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with service department members.
• Relocate, unpack, and inspect incoming returned goods.
• Enter service equipment details into SAP (training provided).
• Dispatch goods to other service centres if required.
• Prepare service items for dispatch to customers.
• Ensure accuracy of service orders and clean up orders prior to data entry.
• Interface with customers to ensure all information is accurate prior to entry.
• Provide customers with service status and expedite items with the service team.

Job Requirements:

• Basic education in Mathematics, English, and Science.
• Administration experience and customer interaction.
• Technical interest.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Experience:

• Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in the service sector, but not essential.

• Good computer literacy.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
• Aptitude for simple mechanical processes and problem-solving.

Equipment to be Used:

• Standard office equipment such as copier, fax, telephone, etc.
• Computer and other electronic equipment.
• Hand and electric tools, and manipulation of small objects.

Mental, Physical, and Sensory Demands:

• Normal periods of concentration required to complete assignments within deadlines.
• Routine reading, writing, and mathematical calculations.
• Regularly required to weigh and measure, conduct research, analyze data, and create methodologies/visualize conclusions to resolve problems, make effective decisions, and manage resources.
• Sits for extended periods of time.
• Stands and walks/moves to different locations as needed.
• Routinely sees, speaks, hears, and listens.
• Regularly required to touch objects and distinguish between colours.

Work Environment:

• Work is typically performed in a standard office setting at a desk or table on a level surface.
• Air quality and noise levels are within normal limits.
• Eye protection is usually not required.
• Under normal conditions, exposure to excessive noise, dust, humidity, and fumes is rare.
• May be required to work more hours than normally expected during a regular workweek depending on workload and deadline requirements.
