Service Advisor

We are recruiting for the position of Vehicle Service Bookings Advisor on behalf of our client, a well-established, multi-franchise approved car dealership in Cardiff. As a Vehicle Service Bookings Advisor, you will play a vital role in managing customer appointments, providing exceptional service, and supporting the efficient operation of the service department.

Basic salary up to £28,000, dependent on experience
On-target earnings of approximately £34,000 per annum through performance-based commission
22 days annual holiday, increasing to 25 days with length of service, plus 8 bank holidays

Handle incoming service department calls and enquiries
Book customer vehicles for scheduled services and MOTs
Manage and update service diaries across multiple brands
Pre-prepare documentation in anticipation of customer appointments
Provide clear pricing and obtain customer authorisation for services
Upsell service plans and additional repairs following vehicle health checks
Assist in creating a seamless customer experience, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Support workshop teams by prioritising and coordinating appointments 
Maintain accurate records of all bookings and customer communicationsRequirements of a Service Bookings Advisor:

Previous experience in a contact centre, service reception, or call-handling role within the motor trade is desirable but not essential
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner
An interest in the automotive industry and a genuine desire to build a career in this sector
IT literate and comfortable using booking systems and office software
Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing
Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
