*
Follow health and safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
*
Work flexibly to meet customer requirements, including occasional evenings, nights and weekends.
The International Travel Requirement
Regular overseas travel is an essential part of this role, alongside UK-based installations and service visits. Candidates must be comfortable working away from home and adapting to varying customer schedules, site conditions and project demands.
Flexibility is also required to support emergency breakdowns, out-of-hours work and occasional weekend commitments. Participation in a shared Christmas breakdown cover rota, covering the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day, will also be required.
Candidate Requirements
*
Experience in a multi-skilled service, maintenance, installation or commissioning engineering role.
*
Good mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, ideally within machinery or industrial equipment.
*
Practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
*
A willingness and ability to undertake regular international travel.
*
A flexible approach to working hours and customer requirements.
*
Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
*
The ability to work independently on customer sites and as part of a wider engineering team.
An engineering apprenticeship or relevant City & Guilds qualification would be advantageous. Experience with PLC and HMI systems, including programming or troubleshooting, would also be beneficial, although training may be available for the right candidate.
