Service Charge Accountant

Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s market-leading client is keen to add a Service Charge Accountant to the current team on a permanent role in Glasgow. The company has a proven track record of successfully completing various high-profile projects Globally.

This excellent opportunity will involve working primarily for the leading and developing finance function. This role is ideal for an individual who can bring new ideas and help lead and deliver to senior management and our wider business ambitions.

Key duties of the role include:

• Maintain and update lease information and tenancy schedules, including rent reviews, break clauses and service charges.
• Assist with Service Charge reconciliations including accruals, and prepayments.
• Code and process supplier invoices, prepare draft rent and service charge reports and issue approved charges
• Handle insurance recharges and mid-term adjustments
• Verify and input new supplier data, including bank detail
• Excellent verbal & written skills are essential to the Senior Management team

Qualifications:

• Property experience essential
• Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with a variety of financial reporting and finance system-related queries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with various computer accounting software packages and proficient in using Microsoft Word/Excel
