Service Charge Accountant | £45,000 – £50,000 | South London | Hybrid (3 days in office)

A respected and community-based housing association in South London is looking for a Service Charge Accountant to join their small, friendly finance team. Role:

• Take ownership of the full service charge cycle, preparing detailed annual estimates and actuals alongside monthly postings, journals, and reconciliations

• Investigate and resolve cost variances and coding discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records

• Be the main point of contact for leaseholders, internal teams, and managing agents, providing clear and timely responses to enquiries

• Support continuous improvements by assisting with process enhancements and system upgrades

Person Specification:

• Experience working hands-on with service charge estimates and actuals, ideally within social housing or local authority settings

• Strong Excel skills with experience using Northgate and Sun Accounts systems preferred

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant seeking a stable, long-term role with growth potential
