Job Description - Service Coordinator - Birmingham
Job Title: Experienced Engineering Service Coordinator Location: Birmingham (B76) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Service Coordinator to join a busy and established service operation based in Birmingham. This is a key role responsible for coordinating field-based engineers, managing daily workloads and ensuring customers receive a timely and efficient service. You will be responsible for scheduling repairs, breakdowns, maintenance visits and quotation appointments, while managing engineer utilisation and route planning across a designated geographical area. The ideal candidate will have previous experience coordinating engineers within an industry such as automotive, material handling, plant hire, construction or a similar engineering environment.
Overview: · Coordinate the daily schedules for field service engineers. · Book and allocate repairs, breakdowns, maintenance visits and quotation appointments. · Manage a designated geographical area, ensuring efficient route planning and engineer utilisation. · Prioritise urgent breakdowns and respond to changing workloads. · Liaise with customers to arrange appointments and provide service updates. · Communicate with engineers throughout the day regarding job changes and priorities. · Raise and process service jobs using the company management system. · Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed within agreed service levels. · Handle customer enquiries and resolve scheduling issues promptly. · Work closely with customers and engineers to ensure smooth delivery of service. · Maintain accurate service records and update job statuses. · Balance engineer workloads to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS: · ESSENTIAL INDUSTRY RELATDED EXPERINCE - automotive / material handling / plant hire / construction or similar · ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: strong field-based engineering coordination required · Comfortable in fast-paced, process-driven environments. · Highly organised, disciplined and target-driven. · Proactive with the ability to work independently and take ownership. · Experience using Kerridge / auto line · Uk drivers licence
PACKAGE:
