Job Description - Service Development Manager

Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated Service Development Manager to develop and implement a service delivery model, revenue and sales strategies specifically targeting large scale gas and desal engines. The role is reporting directly to our Service Commercial Director within our Service Commercial Department.
Responsibilities
• Develop a framework for the delivery of large scale gas and desal engines aftermarket service products
• Develop Sales Strategies and commercial offerings
• Working alongside the existing business structure identify potential opportunities and trends within the service sector for engine equipment.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored service solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Contract Negotiation: with support from the existing commercial team, lead negotiations with clients to finalise service contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favourable while maximizing revenue and profitability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including engineering, sales, operations, and finance to ensure seamless delivery of service solutions and effective resource allocation.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets, providing regular reports and analysis to management and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Industry Networking: Where applicable represent Clarke Energy at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to raise brand awareness and foster strategic partnerships within the energy sector.

Knowledge & Skills

track record of success within the energy or power generation industry, with a focus on service contracts.
understanding of engineered products within the Powergen sector.
understanding of commercial and contractual principles,
communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative and drive.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
