  • Strong understanding of rotating machines (synchronous/asynchronous motors), logic/regulator systems, rectifiers, and inverters
  • Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
  • Computer literate (MS Office, directory navigation)
  • Practical technical skills and experience using tools and electrical test equipment (DVMs, clamp meters, insulation testers, oscilloscopes)
  • Must be a British-born citizen due to security clearance requirements

  • Commission, service, maintain, repair, and occasionally modify a wide range of power protection systems
  • Work with rotary and static UPS systems, diesel-powered and kinetic energy storage systems, and 400Hz aircraft ground power equipment
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Maintain and manage company tools, vehicle, and documentation to high standards
  • Be on call as part of a rotating 24/7 engineer schedule (approximately every 7-10 weeks)

  • Must be comfortable with nationwide travel and occasional European visits
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and nights
