Service Engineer

We are looking for a Multiskilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to service, install and commission industrial machinery / capital equipment across various sectors. Splitting your time between our Petersfield site and at client locations across the UK - we offer a good salary, benefits package and excellent job security.

BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer - Automate UK, Process and Packaging Machinery, Inkjet, Production Equipment

This is a hybrid role, split between working at our Petersfield site, and a classic, multi skilled field based Service Engineer vacancy. The role is divided between scheduled installation and maintenance of equipment at sites across the UK and reactionary service (often with a few days' notice and very occasional emergency breakdown response).

During periods of training, you will also visit principal sites across Europe.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer - Automate UK, Process and Packaging Machinery, Inkjet, Production Equipment

Ideally, you will be a multi skilled and experienced Service or Maintenance Engineer with familiarity of working on production equipment from any sector. Any exposure to packaging, process, inkjet, or automation equipment would be a bonus, but any PLC controlled machinery would be a good match.

The wide variety of equipment they work on would benefit from a broad range of experience and a good, general engineering understanding. An understanding of PLC's from an operational level is important - but you are not required to be able to program, debug, fault find etc.

PROSPECTS:

Beyond an annual salary review, there is a direct path to a Senior Service Engineer role in the medium term.
