Service Engineer

Brilliant opportunity for an experienced packaging machinery Field Service Engineer or a food factory Maintenance Engineer to join a small but well established British manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the food industry.

BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000 basic

BENEFITS:
· Overtime to earn circa £60,000
· Choice of hybrid car or pick up truck

LOCATION: You will be factory based (1 day a week) when not on client sites throughout the UK (4 days per week) and will therefore live on or near the M62 corridor between Manchester and Leeds.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Manchester, Warrington, Bolton, Preston, Huddersfield, Liverpool, Leeds

JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Packaging Machinery, PPMA, Automate UK

A classic field Service Engineer role spending 4 days per week on client sites throughout the UK servicing, testing and installing packaging machinery with 1 day per week spent assembling, testing & overhauling machinery in the factory.

You will be expected to travel and stay away 2 nights per week on average, with very occasional 1 week trips abroad, mainly in Europe, as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Packaging Machinery, PPMA, Automate UK

· You will be an experienced field Service Engineer with specific experience of working upon packaging or process machinery used in the food industry.
· The company will also consider an experienced food factory Maintenance Engineer with specific experience of working on packaging machinery who wants to move into a field service role.
· You will be a qualified Multi skilled Engineer primarily in mechanical engineering but ideally with electrical experience too.
· You will be happy to travel and stay away as required.
