Service Engineer (Generators)
Certain Advantage is looking for a Service Engineer to join a leading power solutions company, working on generator systems in the Glasgow area (field-based).

The Company

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Service Engineer to maintain, repair, and support generator systems in the field. You’ll play a key role in ensuring generator performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing planned service and maintenance on customer generator units.
• Conducting remedial repairs, fault finding, load bank testing, and panel upgrades.
• Responding to breakdowns and conducting site surveys when required.
• Maintaining accurate stock levels on the service van and submitting timely, detailed reports and timesheets.
• Ensuring work areas and vehicles are kept clean and safe in line with Health & Safety policy.
• Following ISO procedures: ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), contributing to continuous improvement.

The Individual
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• A strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Confidence to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A valid UK driving license is essential.
• ECS/CSCS Card, Asbestos Awareness
