Service Engineer

Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Service Engineer to work for a well-established organisation who specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke products. As the Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing telephone and on-site technical support to a variety of clients within the Marine and Rail industries.

Working hours for the Service Engineer:

• Monday - Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm)
• Friday (7.30am - 1.30pm)

Duties of the Service Engineer:

• Site installation and configuration of equipment
• Service and repair of machinery and equipment on customer sites
• Fitting, wiring and assembly of products
• Fault finding on both mechanical & electrical systems
• Complete Site Reports
• Prepare reports on equipment status and service history
• Work with cross functional departments to improve product performance and reliability
• Forge quality customer relationships by liaising professionally with customers whilst on site

The successful candidate for the Service Engineers position will have the following experience:

• Formal electrical qualification or apprenticeship (Desirable)
• UK/EU Travel (Essential)
• Understanding of schematic & engineering drawings
• Full UK driving licence
