Based from Thetford
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering team supporting the maintenance and repair of rotating equipment used across the water industry. This is a varied role that combines both workshop-based and field-based work, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and getting stuck in.

As a Service Engineer, you will be:

Stripping down, inspecting, and rebuilding pumps, gearboxes, compressors, mixers, and other rotating equipment
Supporting emergency repairs and reactive maintenance on client sites
Working with machinery from various OEMs across different industries
Using technical knowledge and initiative to work from set scopes or problem-solve on the spot
Completing detailed maintenance reports and documentation
Maintaining high safety and quality standards at all times
Communicating directly with clients to provide updates, advice, and support

Requirements for this Service Engineer role:

A solid understanding of electro-mechanical equipment
Ability to work independently and confidently, especially under pressure
A proactive approach to fault-finding and repairs
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed
