Service Engineer

An outstanding field Service Engineer role with an outstanding company! There is a fantastic package on offer to the right person with the UK sales & service office of a European manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the food industry.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £58,600
 
BENEFITS:
· Quarterly bonus of circa bonus of £4,400
· On call allowance of circa £2,000 to earn circa £65,000 in total
· Company Van
 
LOCATION: Home based - covering the UK & Ireland.
 
· You will be expected to travel and stay away as required, typically 2 nights per week on average.
· You will also be offering technical support in the office in the East Midlands for a week every 7 weeks and will be expected to stay locally whilst on call.
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Manchester Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Nottingham
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - packaging machinery - food
 
A classic field Service Engineer role incorporating the repair, upgrade and refurbishment of existing machinery, the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
You will also be offering remote technical support from the office (1 week in 7) plus generating after sales revenue and lastly being involved in client training. Full product training in the UK & in Europe.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - packaging machinery - food
 
· You WILL have a proven track record as a field Service Engineer with specific experience of working upon packaging or process machinery used in the food industry.
· You WILL be a qualified multi skilled Engineer, ideally to HNC + level.
· You will be comfortable working with clients on after sales & training.
