Service Engineer

The Company

Pinnacle RE-Tec Ltd was founded in 2006 by a team of dedicated pump experts in the field of reverse engineering and pump service. The company’s head office is in Consett, Co Durham, with a further workshop based in Dyce, Aberdeen, which is where this position will be located.

Working in the oil & gas, energy & power, petrochemical and water industries, the company provides independent, bespoke solutions including service, repairs, and complete replacement of pumps and rotating equipment. We service and repair all variety of pumps to blue chip customers in the UK and abroad; from multi-stage, high-pressure units to small, over-hung end suction pumps.

Job Summary

The Service Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager, and is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly of various rotating pieces of equipment, primarily pumps. The Service Engineer will work as part of a small team which sees a great variety of equipment pass through the service department from a worldwide customer base, so good teamwork and product knowledge is essential to achieve the best results in a growing business. Ideally from a service background the successful candidate will be a time served engineer with a proven track record in the rotating equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Timely disassembly, inspection and repair of equipment to pre-determined deadlines.

* Assisting in the generation of reports to company standards to meet with customer expectations

* Produce work to the highest standard to achieve customer satisfaction.

* Work within industry standards as per company procedures.

Person Specification

* Time-served fitter

* Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals accurately

* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

* Proven experience working with pumps and rotating equipment

* Flexible approach to tasks and availability for overtime when required

* Salary: Competitive

* 37 Hours per week:

* Monday – Thursday 07:30 -16:00

* Friday 07:30-12:30
