Job Description - Service Project Manager

Service Project Manager
Location: London Heathrow
Working Format: Hybrid working 3 office and 2 home
Salary: Up to £50,000pa
Benefits: 28 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays), Bupa medical cover, competitive pension plan
Contract Type: Permanent

Our client:
Our client is a global leader in automated material handling systems and they are looking for a Service Project Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering critical service projects within the Heathrow Airport Baggage environment.

About the Role
As a Service Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading small-scale retrofit, modification, and revision projects from initial scope through to final handover. Working within a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment, you’ll liaise with both internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions across the full asset lifecycle: Design, Build, Operate, Maintain, and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage service projects from proposal to completion at Heathrow Airport
Scope and estimate project costs, prepare quotations, and develop detailed specifications
Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, R&D, IT, Supply Chain) to ensure timely delivery
Maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and partners
Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards
Act as the primary point of contact for project-related operational and technical issues
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety standards
Deliver post-project documentation and support service handovers

What You’ll Bring:

Experience or internship in project management or a related field
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple small projects simultaneously
Commercial awareness and planning capability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with automated handling systems is a plus, but not required
