Service Supervisor – Industrial Refrigeration

Location: Bristol

We are recruiting for a Service Supervisor to join an established and growing industrial refrigeration business, supporting its Bristol operations across the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced refrigeration engineer who has experience in team supervisors and client facing experience looking to progress into a supervisory position, or an existing supervisor seeking a role with a well established business offering longterm stability and opportunities for growth.

The role is supported by a strong portfolio of established service and maintenance contracts across the food and beverage industry.

You'll be responsible for overseeing a team of circa six service engineers, ensuring the smooth delivery of service, maintenance and reactive works across the region.

The position offers a varied working week, combining time in the Bristol office with visits to customer sites, providing a good balance between technical involvement, team leadership and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, support and coordinate a team of approximately six refrigeration service engineers.

Oversee day to day service operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Provide technical support and guidance to engineers, assisting with troubleshooting and complex refrigeration issues.

Support the planning and scheduling of service, maintenance and reactive works.

*

Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, particularly within the food and beverage sector.

*

Monitor engineer performance, workloads and service delivery standards.

*

Work closely with branch management to support continued growth and operational improvements.

*

Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and industry standards.

About You

*

Strong technical background in heavy commercial, industrial refrigeration, or ammonia (NH3) systems.

*

Previous experience as a Service Supervisor, Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer or similar would be advantageous.

*

Good understanding of industrial refrigeration service, maintenance and fault-finding.

*

Confident supporting engineers and dealing directly with customers.

*

Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

*

Comfortable splitting time between office-based responsibilities and customer site visits.
