Service Supervisor – Škoda Aftersales | Edinburgh | Full Time | Up To £36,355.80 Basic + Bonus/Commission & Overtime

West End Garage is an established, privately owned automotive retailer founded in 1987. We represent Škoda in Edinburgh, Stirling and Dunfermline, alongside CUPRA and SEAT at our expanded Stirling operation.

The Role

West End Garage is looking for an experienced, energetic and customer-focused Service Supervisor to join our busy Škoda aftersales team in Edinburgh.

This is an opportunity for an established Service Supervisor or an experienced Service Advisor who is ready to take on greater responsibility and progress into a supervisory position.

You will remain closely involved with customers while helping to coordinate the daily operation of the service reception team. Working alongside the Aftersales Manager, Workshop Control, Technicians and Parts team, you will help ensure that every customer receives a professional, efficient and straightforward experience.

The role is full time, working 44.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07:45 and 18:00, with one half-day through the week as agreed in advance, plus one Saturday morning in four, paid as overtime.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting and guiding the Service Advisor team throughout the working day
Helping to organise daily workloads and maintain an efficient customer journey
Welcoming customers and managing service, repair and MOT bookings
Reviewing vehicle history, recalls, warranty requirements and service plans
Keeping customers informed and obtaining authority for additional work
Explaining technical information, estimates and invoices clearly
Liaising closely with Workshop Control, Technicians, Parts and Sales
Arranging courtesy cars and other onward-travel requirements
Supporting workshop loading, productivity and departmental performance
Handling customer concerns professionally and helping resolve issues promptly
Identifying appropriate maintenance and repair requirements
Ensuring job cards, estimates, invoices and supporting records are accurate
Coaching colleagues and sharing best practice across the team
Supporting the Aftersales Manager and deputising when required
Helping the department achieve its customer satisfaction, retention and financial targets
Requirements

Essential

Current or recent experience as a Service Advisor within a franchised motor dealership
A strong understanding of dealership aftersales processes
Excellent customer service and communication skills
The confidence to guide colleagues and coordinate a busy service reception
Strong organisation and attention to detail
The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused under pressure
Confidence using dealership systems and digital platforms
A commercially aware approach to identifying required and beneficial work
A full UK driving licence
The right to work in the UK
Desirable

Previous supervisory or senior Service Advisor experience
Škoda experience
Existing manufacturer accreditation
Experienced Service Advisors who can demonstrate that they are ready to take the next step are also encouraged to apply. Full Škoda brand training will be provided.
