Service Team Manager

We’re working with an established engineering business operating within the defence sector, who are looking for an experienced Service Engineering Team Leader to join their growing team.

The Role:

* You’ll be responsible for coordinating service engineering activities across a range of maritime projects, whilst also providing hands-on technical support when required.

* Key responsibilities will include:

* Coordinating and prioritising Service Engineers across planned and reactive maintenance activities.

* Supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of complex marine electronic systems.

* Carrying out fault diagnosis, system testing and trials both at customer sites and onboard vessels.

* Providing technical guidance and support to Service Engineers and apprentices.

* Providing telephone and email-based technical support to customers and service partners.

* Supporting service activities across a range of current and future maritime platforms.

* Producing technical documentation, maintenance instructions and handbooks where required.

* Delivering operator and maintenance training.

About you:

* We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background in marine electronics, naval systems or a closely related engineering environment.

* Ideally, you’ll have:

* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

* Strong experience working with marine electronic systems.

* Experience with areas such as navigation, radar, electronic systems, steering or associated technologies.

* Previous experience coordinating or supervising engineers.

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* A full driving licence and valid passport.

* The ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance
