We are a world leader in the design, development, manufacture and servicing of specialist equipment who are now seeking to recruit a Senior Service Technician to join our busy and friendly aftersales service centre, based at our offices near Alton.
Working Monday to Friday, with an earlier finish on a Friday, we can offer a salary of up to £32,000 plus target related bonus and company bonus schemes, holiday entitlement plus bank holidays, your birthday off, group pension, group life and income protection, free parking, and office closure over Christmas and New Year.
We are looking for an individual with previous experience in a technical service, repair, maintenance, or engineering environment who is confident working with technical products and equipment. Experience of leading, supervising, or managing a small team would be highly desirable, as the role involves supporting and developing Service Technicians within the department. Candidates who have experience in calibration, diagnostics, fault-finding, and equipment repair would be particularly well suited to this position.
As a Senior Service Technician and working within a team of technicians, you will play a key role in leading technical service activities, diagnosing and repairing equipment, supporting colleagues with complex technical issues, and ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction are achieved. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assessment, repair, and quotation of service jobs. • Calibration of various equipment, predominately flue gas analysers. Full product training will be provided. • Provide assistance over the phone and in person at the counter for the following areas: o Faults with equipment o Explanation of quotations o Pricing of repairs / calibration o In Depth use of equipment o Status updates on jobs / repairs (mainly to order processing) • Provide full support towards ensuring the department KPIs are met, achieved by: o Good output of quotation and calibration work o Whilst keeping a high accuracy of work o Having good attention to detail o Helping your colleagues when required o Ensuring the customer receives the best service possible. • Participate in achieving department NPS and contribute towards improvements made to improve NPS. • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and each job is handled with due diligence. • Providing service jobs to stores to dispatch
To be successful for the Senior Service Technician role you will need proven experience in a technical service, repair, maintenance, or engineering role as well as experience diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues, and repairing technical equipment. You will have competent IT skills in MS office and service management systems and ideally have some team leadership experience form your previous role.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, as occasional travel may be required.
