Setting Out Site Engineer needed in Reading

Location: Reading RG2

Rate: £280 -£350 per day

Hours: 7.30 to 5pm

Job Type: Contract - 1 month

Job Description:

Stridden Limited are recruiting for an established Groundworkers and Civils Contractor who are currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Site Engineer to join their team. You will be a key member of their site team, responsible for the technical and quality control of civil engineering works in Reading.

Site Engineer Key Duties:

Your role will involve:

· Setting out and conducting surveys to ensure all work is carried out to the highest level of accuracy, in line with engineering drawings and project specifications.

· Managing and supervising subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

· Inspecting and auditing work on-site, implementing quality assurance procedures, and preparing comprehensive daily reports.

· Acting as the primary point of contact for technical queries on site, collaborating closely with the design team, the client, and subcontractors alike.

· Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and promoting our safety first culture.

· Maintaining detailed records of all site activities, including progress, materials, and resources.

· Mentoring trainee engineers within the company

Site Engineer Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

· A degree or HND in Civil Engineering.

. CSCS Card

· A minimum of 3 experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks and civil engineering projects across all sectors including housing, industrial, commercial, roads and sewers.

. Housing experience

. Having an instrument is beneficial
