About the Role:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and stimulating English lessons for students across all Key Stages (up to A Levels).


• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and ignites a passion for the written word.


• Develop and implement innovative teaching methods that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.


• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards.


• Track student progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide targeted support to help them achieve their full potential.


• Foster a love of reading by recommending engaging and age-appropriate literature.


• Play an active role in the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues and participating in school events.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.


• A minimum of two years' experience teaching English in a secondary school setting (desirable).


• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the English language.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.


• The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
