About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in History, covering a diverse range of historical periods and themes.
Lesson Planning and Assessment: Design creative and differentiated lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum, and assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and historical inquiry.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement department initiatives, share best practices, and contribute to the school's broader educational goals.
Professional Development: Maintain a commitment to continuous professional learning, staying abreast of current research and trends in history education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Bachelor's degree in History or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of historical concepts, methodologies, and sources.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
