The Role: Sheet Metal Worker

Salary: £30,793.38 + 12.5% Shift Allowance (£34,642.55)

Shifts: Mornings (06:00-14:00) and Afternoons (14:00-22:00)

Overview: As a Sheet Metal Worker in the aerospace industry, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and repair of precision metal components, ensuring all parts meet strict aerospace quality and safety standards. You will work from technical drawings, using various tools and techniques such as cutting, bending, riveting, and welding to produce high-accuracy components for aircraft and related structures

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform drilling operations.
• Perform manual press operations.
• Abrade and final finish assemblies.
• Use hand and air powered tools.
• Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer as well as internal standards and specifications (NADCAP and AS9100 standards).
• Interpret drawings.
• Keep equipment operational by completing autonomous maintenance requirements.
• Provide feedback on production issues as and when they arise.
• Know and understand company and department policies and safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Experience & Qualifications:

• NVQ or similar qualification in sheet metal working
• Sheet Metal Work experience.
• Manual Press work experience
• Experience Reading and following written instruction
• Experience in the Aerospace or similar industry
