Job Title: SHEQ Lead

Location: Dual Site – North Shields & South Shields

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Are you a proactive SHEQ Lead looking for an opportunity to make a real impact across multiple manufacturing sites? We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced SHEQ Lead to drive continuous improvement, compliance, and best practice across health, safety, environmental, and quality activities.

The Company

Our client operates within the manufacturing sector, supplying products and services to a diverse customer base across the UK. Thet are seeking a dedicated SHEQ Lead to support operational excellence and compliance initiatives.

The Role

As a SHEQ Lead, you will work closely with site management teams to promote a positive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support integrated management system standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and site reviews.

* Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.

* Develop policies, procedures, and improvement plans.

* Deliver toolbox talks, training, and SHEQ guidance.

* Support ISO standards, internal audits, KPI reporting, and compliance activities.

What we are looking for:

* IOSH Managing Safely qualified, with willingness to achieve NEBOSH certification.

* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable.

* Strong communication, organisational, and influencing skills.

* Confident using Microsoft 365 and digital auditing tools.

* Able to work independently while building effective stakeholder relationships.
