Job Description
* Monitoring, reviewing, and developing the company’s Health & Safety risk controls arrangements (Formal inspections, Audits, RA’s & SSOW)
* Act as the competent person for Health & Safety as defined by the Management of Health & Safety at Work regulations 1999, ensuring organizational compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, approved codes of practice and general guidance.
* Maintaining and developing H&S documentation ensuring consistent. documentation across all departments and locations of the business.
* Working proactively with department heads and team leaders, developing safe working practices, and implementing a risk control and quality strategy across the organisation.
* Investigating Safety / Quality incidents and generating relevant CA & PA’s
* Document Control, maintaining Health & Safety / Quality records and databases.
* Maintaining COSHH register and assessment of products.
* Assist / Specify the procurement of PPE and ensure stock levels meet company demand.
* Act as the Radiation Protection supervisor and form part of the radiation protection team.
* Develop, maintain, and audit quality processes and standards across the business.
* Implement process controls in line with a recognised quality standard.
* Drive a continuous improvement / Total Quality Management Program.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in implementing ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standards.
* NEBOSH NGC 3 National General Certificate or working toward is essential.
* An understanding of Quality tools used in a continuous improvement process.
* Proven experience of meeting tight deadlines by efficiently prioritizing workload, as well as having the ability to problem solve.
* An interest in Health & Safety is essential, along with meticulous attention to detail and communication skills, both written & verbal.
* A general understanding of DSEAR / ATEX environment.
* An interest in Health & Safety is essential.

Salary, Hours and Benefits
* £42,000 - £45,000 p/a
* 39 hrs per week: Mon – Thurs 08.30 – 17.30 & Fri 08.30 – 13.30.
* Holiday entitlement of 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
