We're recruiting an experienced Electrical Maintenance Shift Supervisor to join a leading UK industrial organisation at its Redcar site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Engineer or Senior Maintenance Engineer looking to combine hands-on engineering with team leadership in a modern production environment.

This isn't just another maintenance position.
You'll be trusted to lead a skilled engineering team, keeping critical plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently while driving continuous improvement across the site.
You'll have the opportunity to influence engineering standards, improve plant performance and mentor engineers, all while remaining involved in the technical aspects of the role.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading and coordinating engineering and maintenance activities across the site Managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to maximise plant availability Supporting engineers during breakdowns, ensuring faults are diagnosed and resolved quickly Driving high engineering standards, compliance and safe working practices Identifying recurring equipment issues and implementing long-term engineering solutions Championing continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and operational performance Coordinating specialist maintenance work with external contractors and suppliers Supporting maintenance planning, permit systems and engineering scheduling Promoting excellent housekeeping alongside health, safety and environmental compliance Coaching, mentoring and supporting engineers to develop both capability and performanceWhat We're Looking For
You'll be an experienced maintenance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for engineering excellence.
Ideally, you'll have:
NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical bias preferred) Previous experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Supervisor or Lead Engineer position Strong experience maintaining production or industrial machinery Electrical fault-finding experience with PLCs, VSDs and relay logic circuits Good knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems Excellent communication, organisation and team leadership skills A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem solvingTo apply for this position please send your CV to or call (phone number removed) ext 202 for more information.
