Shift Technician/Engineer

The duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the followings:

1.      Daily facilities inspection and maintenance for Data Centre MEP facilities.

2.      Perform re-lamping and facilities repairs.

3.      Supervise Vendors to carry out scheduled facilities maintenance during weekend.

4.      Escort Vendors for regular cleaning in Data Halls/ Critical areas

5.      Escalate problem & incident to Engineer or Manager.

6.      Qualified electrically, ideally has an understanding/ qualified mechanically

7.      Incident handling.

8.      Assist Manager / Engineer to handle Customers’ IT equipment racks & equipment move-in.

9.      Provide 7 x 24 shift duty service.

10.   Manage and Monitor the Data Centre Infrastructure Management System (DCIM) and all sub systems including but not limited to BMS, PMS, and SMS. Assist Engineer to update Inventory list / Asset list …etc.

11.   Coordinate with local utility company and conduct routine check and maintenance.

12.   Perform Burn-in Test & Current Leakage Test for Customers’ IT equipment

13.   Must be knowledge on BMS/ PMS etc

14.   Can do attitude.

15.   Complete PPMs and daily/ weekly/ monthly checks

16.   Provide 7 x 24 shift duty service

17.   Would need to be an AP for switching operations on site LVAP/HVAP

Working Hours:

24 x 7 operation

12 hours shift, Monday to Sunday, incl. bank holidays)

Evening shift is a single man shift so would need to be motivated to get on with PPMs etc

Requirements:

1.      Holder of valid HV certification for switching and operation or previously qualified

2.      English MUST be of a good level both speaking and understanding.

3.      IT experienced, can use excel, PowerPoint, computer literate

4.      Electrically qualified to level 3 2330 or equivalent

5.      Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering

6.      Minimum 2 years’ experience of facilities operation in Data Centre (preferred)/ Critical environments / Telecommunications industry.

7.      Familiar with critical facilities (Chiller, CRAC, UPS, STS, Genset, Nitrogen gas suppression System).

8.      Proactive attitude a must.

9.      Holder of HND/HNC (preferred) or equivalent qualification technical certificate.
