Shift Engineer

Shift Engineer – Just Temps is supporting our client in their search for Shift Engineer, based in Clacton- On – Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within engineering. The role will initially be a temporary position for up to 12 weeks and for the right candidate will go permanent!

About the role:

You will be responsible for ensuring the production and site equipment operates at peak performance through planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and a rapid response to breakdowns. You will be working 42 hours per week, 12-hour shift pattern of 2 days and 2 nights, 4 rest days. On offer is a salary of up to £42,600 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimise production downtime and related quality issues related to machinery condition
Participate in fault finding, diagnostic and corrective actions to maintain and improve the operation of the process equipment
Act as incident coordinator (on shift) in the event of major breakdowns / incidents requiring the involvement / call in of other maintenance and support services

Requirements:

Full, clean UK driving licence
City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC/HND) in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Good communication and customer service skills
Reliable, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team
