Shift Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be supporting a new facility in Doncaster who are looking to hire a team of Shift Managers to be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations in the new warehouse facility. This role involves managing the operations team, ensuring efficient use of materials handling equipment (MHE) and forklifts, enforcing health and safety standards, and maintaining compliance with operational policies. The Shift Manager will work within the budget set by the Operations Manager, optimise labour planning, ensure high levels of customer service, and drive operational efficiency. The role also includes maintaining accurate records using the latest Warehouse Management technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logistics & Operations Management - materials & finished products movement, best practices
• People Management - 121s, coaching, training, resource allocation, team briefings
• Health & Safety Compliance
• Budget and Cost Control
• Customer Service & Performance Management - on-time delivery and KPI monitoring
• Technology & Record Keeping (WMS)

Shifts to be covered:

• 06:00 – 14:00
• 13:30 – 21:30
• 10:00 – 18:00

Experience needed:

• Proven experience in a shift management or supervisory role within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Experience in supporting the set up of a facility would be advantageous.
• Strong people management and leadership skills, with experience in team development.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, MHE, and forklift management.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance in an industrial setting.
• Budget management and cost control experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Warehouse Management systems, and other relevant technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
