Shift Mechanical Engineer

Position: Mechanical Shift Engineer
Location: Central London
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights Rotation)

Key Responsibilities

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services systems.

* Maintaining and fault-finding on HVAC plant, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, heating systems, and associated mechanical equipment.

* Responding promptly to breakdowns and ensuring minimal disruption to critical hospital operations.

* Completing maintenance activities in line with health and safety regulations and site procedures.

* Supporting statutory compliance and ensuring accurate completion of maintenance records.

* Working closely with the wider engineering team to maintain high standards of service delivery across the site.

* Participating in the shift rota covering both day and night shifts.

What We're Looking For

* Mechanical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship, or equivalent.

* Previous experience within commercial building services, healthcare environments, critical facilities, or facilities maintenance.

* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.

* Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

* A team player who can perform effectively within a busy operational environment.
