The Role

As Shop Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the store, ensuring it operates efficiently while delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.

Salary: £14.05 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 6 (Monday to Saturday – not every Saturday)

Your responsibilities will include:

* Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of staff and volunteers.

* Driving sales and maximising store performance.

* Creating attractive merchandise displays and maintaining high shop standards.

* Managing stock, including sorting, pricing, merchandising, and stock rotation.

* Delivering outstanding customer service and resolving customer queries.

* Managing cash handling, banking, and daily financial administration.

* Organising staff and volunteer rotas to ensure effective store coverage.

* Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies.

* Building positive relationships within the local community and supporting fundraising initiatives.

* An experienced retail professional, with supervisory or management experience, ideally with charity stores experience.

* A confident leader who can motivate and develop a successful team.

* Organised with excellent attention to detail.

* Experienced in cash handling and daily store administration.

* Passionate about delivering first-class customer service.

* Positive, proactive, and able to use their own initiative.

* Flexible and committed to maintaining high retail standards.
