Shunter Driver- Nightshift- HGV licence

We are currently seeking a Shunter Driver to operate on a 7/14 nightshift schedule. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and vehicles within our yards and loading bays. Your expertise will play an indispensable part in ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly during the night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver and park trailers and vehicles within the loading and unloading areas.
• Ensure all vehicles are in safe working order and report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to facilitate efficient loading and unloading of products.
• Perform routine checks on vehicles, including fluid levels, tires, and overall condition.
• Maintain accurate records of movements and any incidents in line with company policies.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to support overall logistics operations.
• Working hours 7PM-7AM
• Rate of pay £15.79/hour

• Valid HGV license (Class 1 or Class 2) is essential.
• Previous experience as a shunter driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of health and safety best practices related to vehicle operations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work nightshifts on a 5 days over 7 days rotational.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following company policies.
• Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including moving equipment and vehicles safely.
