Job Title: SIA / Security Tutor

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £34,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Criteria:

Hold a Level 3 Teaching Qualification (AET, PTLLS) and / or a recognised Assessor Award (CAVA, TAQA, A1 etc.)
Must hold a current or recently expired SIA Licence .
Experience of coaching/training or mentoring Security Professionals.
Must hold Level 3 in First Aid.
Must hold Level 3 Conflict Management and Physical Intervention.
Must possess a sound knowledge of SIA regulations and industry standards.
Occupational competency in Security, within the last 5 years.
Driver, with own vehicle (flexible with travel)

Duties include:

Teach / assess learners in a classroom-based environment, who are working towards SIA approved training courses (Door Supervisor, Event Stewarding and First Aid, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention).
Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
Keep abreast of changes within SIA regulations and industry best practice.
Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
