Side Loader Operator

As a Side Loader Operator, you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently by safely moving timber and materials throughout the sawmill and yard areas.

Key Responsibilities

* Safely operate a Side Loader to move, stack and transport timber and other materials around the site.

* Load, unload and position timber to support production and dispatch operations.

* Maintain a consistent supply of materials to production areas.

* Complete daily machine inspections and report any defects.

* Work closely with production and yard teams to ensure materials are moved safely and efficiently.

* Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards.

What We Are Looking For

* Previous experience operating a Side Loader, forklift or similar material-handling equipment.

* A valid Side Loader, Forklift or relevant Plant Operator ticket (or equivalent).

* Experience within a sawmill, timber, warehouse, manufacturing or other industrial environment.

* A strong awareness of health and safety.

Experience handling timber or operating other plant machinery such as loading shovels or telehandlers would be advantageous but isn't essential.
