Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:00

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Operative / Vehicle Inspector to join a busy automotive operation in Ellesmere Port. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and an interest in the automotive industry.

You will be responsible for inspecting, moving, maintaining, and preparing vehicles to customer standards while ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in line with quality standards.
Ensure vehicles are correctly inspected prior to movement and at handover.
Move vehicles safely around the compound, including electric vehicles, both right-hand and left-hand drive.
Operate plant team vehicles when required.
Ensure vehicles are parked in full compliance with customer requirements.
Carry out compound stock maintenance, including battery and tyre checks.
Charge electric vehicles as required.
Use and maintain company and customer equipment responsibly, including:
Handheld scanners
Inspection mirrors
Tools
Yard vehicles
Report any equipment defects promptly.
Complete 5S housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Attend team briefings and required training sessions, both on and off-site.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures and take responsibility for your own safety and that of others.
Undertake additional duties as required by supervisors, management, administration, or LPC, where appropriately trained.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
Good communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to health and safety.

The successful candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive environment. Previous vehicle handling or inspection experience would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right individual.
