Sphere Solutions are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major £45 million residential development in Liverpool.

The project involves the construction of multiple apartment blocks using reinforced concrete (RC) frame, followed by external works and the finishing of the apartments. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong QS with experience delivering large-scale residential or high-rise apartment schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account.

*

Oversee subcontractor procurement, tendering and package negotiations.

*

Manage valuations, variations, payments and cost reporting.

*

Monitor project budgets, forecasts and commercial risks.

*

Administer subcontract agreements and manage change control.

*

Work closely with the project team to maintain commercial control and programme performance.

*

Manage external works and apartment finishing packages.

*

Prepare regular commercial reports and support the final account process.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major construction projects.

*

Strong background in residential developments and apartment blocks.

*

Experience with RC frame construction is highly desirable.

*

Excellent subcontractor management and negotiation skills.

*

Strong commercial, contractual and cost-control knowledge.

*

Ability to work independently and manage multiple packages.
