Job Description - Site Maintenance

If you enjoy creating a well-presented and safe environment, then join the team at Cotswold Spa Hospital as a Site Maintenance and become a valued member of the service.

As a Site Maintenance, you will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, where you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults.

Plan and respond to Planned Preventative Maintenance and emergency calls.

You will be responsible for all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service and have a proven background with maintenance in similar industries/healthcare settings.

As a

Site Maintenance

you will be:

Supporting the completion of PPM checks on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and audits when required.

Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks.

Reviewing daily work sheets and prioritising tasks accordingly and complete as directed

Providing out of hours assistance if required.

Ensuring the services facilities, grounds and gardens are maintained.

Ensuring new starters are entered onto the Key Watchman system and keys allocated as necessary.

Supervising the routine water and electrical mains system testing, and where necessary implementing corrective action.

Supervising Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) so that all portable equipment has a current test status.

Taking personal responsibility for ensuring that the work practices and the environment meet the requirements of Health and Safety at Work legislation and report all deficits to management.

Providing feedback to SMT, CG and H&S meetings.

Maintaining the highest standards of integrity when communicating with staff, patients, family, carers, and other professionals.

Maintaining concise records and provide reports, as necessary.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience within a similar role

General building trade experience

The ability to paint and decorate,

Knowledge/Experience in the use of hand tools

Knowledge/Experience of electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance

Knowledge/Experience of using computer-based programmes.

Knowledge of COSSH, SSOW, Risk assessments, Health & Safety at Work

A full driving licence

Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with ward and department staff and visitors.

With inpatient and day patient treatment programmes, the multidisciplinary team offer a range of therapeutic groups and workshops to help support the young people and their families through their diagnosis.
