Construction Site Manager - STW Installation Project

Location: Reading, Berkshire (Site-Based)

Contract: 12 Weeks (Potential for Extension)

Day Rate: Circa £400 (Outside IR35)

Are you an experienced Construction Site Manager with a background in mechanical installation within sewage treatment works? Are you available for a short-term, high-value contract with strong potential for extension?

We're currently recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee a blower replacement installation project at a Sewage Treatment Works (STW) in Reading, working with a leading contractor in the water sector. This project involves coordinating the safe and efficient removal and installation of critical blower systems, replacements and upgrades.

This is a 12-week site-based contract, with a £380-£400 day rate (outside IR35), and scope for further involvement in follow-on work.

The Role:

• Managing day-to-day site operations on a live STW during mechanical blower replacement works
• Coordinating specialist subcontractors involved in installation and commissioning
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Chairing daily briefings and toolbox talks, reporting to project and client teams
• Maintaining site records, RAMS, and progress tracking documentation
• Liaising with engineers, OEMs, and stakeholders to ensure installation meets specification

The Person:

• Site Management experience on mechanical installation works within STW or WTW sites
• Strong understanding of blower systems, pipework installation or similar mechanical packages
• CSCS Black Card or Thames Water Passport
• SMSTS
