Site Manager – Shopfitting

Location: Oban, Scotland
Contract: Freelance

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading fit-out contractor for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-profile retail shopfitting project in Oban. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, the ability to drive progress on site, and a proven track record delivering fast-paced fit-out schemes to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification

* Coordinate subcontractors, labour and materials on site

* Maintain excellent health & safety standards and complete all site documentation

* Report progress to the Project Manager and client, resolving issues efficiently

* Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with drawings, RAMS and programme

* Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure site diaries are maintained

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Manager within shopfitting or fast-track fit-out

* Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing in live retail or commercial environments

* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold preferred), First Aid

* Ability to manage multiple trades and work to tight deadlines

* Strong client-facing and organisational skills

* Full UK driving licence
