Site Manager – Substation | Scotland

Contract / Freelance 
We’re hiring an experienced Site Manager to deliver a key substation package in the Scottish Highlands.
This is a hands-on leadership role managing both civils & electrical works, with direct responsibility for subcontractors and liaison with the client.
 

What you’ll be doing
Managing day-to-day site operations on a live substation project
Coordinating civils & electrical subcontractors
Liasing with the client
Driving programme, quality, and HSE compliance
Overseeing RAMS, permits, and site documentation

What we’re looking for
Strong substation / HV project experience
Background in both civils and electrical scopes
Experience working with DNOs (SSEN ideal)
SMSTS + CSCS (Black/ECS Manager)
Confident managing subcontractors and client relationships

Desirable
BESC / National Grid Person / SHEA Power
Temporary Works knowledge
Renewable or wind farm project experience
