Site Manager – Commercial Fit Out | Isles of Scilly | £10m Project

Location: Isles of Scilly (stay-away role, Monday–Friday)
Salary: £50,000–£55,000 + package (DOE) | Freelance day rate: £280–£320 (DOE)

The Company
An established main contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial and refurbishment projects across the South West is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a £10m commercial build and refurbishment scheme on the Isles of Scilly.

The Role
Working under a site-based Project Manager, you will take ownership of the internal fit out stages of the project through to completion. This is a hands-on management role, ensuring quality, programme, and safety standards are maintained across all internal works packages.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing the internal fit out phase from strip-out through to practical completion

* Coordinating subcontractors and trades to maintain programme

* Supporting the Project Manager with day-to-day site operations

* Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and building regulations

* Driving progress reporting and maintaining site records

* Acting as a key point of contact for site-based queries and issues

About You

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit out or build and refurbishment projects

* Comfortable working away from home during the week

* SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS (or equivalent) essential

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Able to work independently while reporting into a Project Manager

Location & Travel
This is a stay-away role during the working week, with all travel and accommodation covered by the contractor. Due to further pipeline opportunities across the South West, this role would particularly suit candidates based near Land's End, Newquay, or Exeter airports, given direct flight connections to the Isles of Scilly.

Package

* Permanent: £50,000–£55,000 per annum + package, dependent on experience

* Freelance: £280–£320 per day, dependent on experience

* Travel and accommodation paid by the contractor

* Genuine opportunity for further work through an active South West pipeline
