Site Manager

Location: Rhoose, Vale of Glamorgan
Contract: CIS available
Duration: 6 Months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a prestigious £140 million new-build college development in Rhoose.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the region's flagship education projects, overseeing all groundworks and associated infrastructure packages on a fast-paced, high-profile construction scheme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards whilst coordinating subcontractors and maintaining strong communication with the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all groundworks, drainage, foundations, external works and infrastructure activities.
• Manage subcontractors, labour, plant and material resources.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme requirements.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Coordinate with project management, design teams and client representatives.
• Monitor progress and produce regular reports.
• Ensure quality standards and project specifications are achieved.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering packages.
• Experience working for a main contractor would be advantageous.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work fronts effectively.
