Site Manager – Asbestos Remediation
Location: Newcastle
Start Date: 17th August 2026
Duration: 6–12 weeks
Rate: £300–£350 per day
Job Type: Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee an upcoming asbestos ground remediation project in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with all relevant health, safety and asbestos regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the day-to-day running of the remediation site
* Supervising site operatives and subcontractors
* Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards
* Monitoring progress and coordinating site activities
* Maintaining site records and documentation
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures
* Liaising with the project management team and other contractors
* Identifying and addressing any site issues promptly
Essential Requirements:
* SMSTS
* First Aid
* Asbestos Awareness
* Earthworks and ground remediation background
* Previous Site Management experience
* Experience working on remediation, asbestos or similar construction projects is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
* Good communication and organisational skills
