Site Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a busy construction project.

This is a hands-on Site Manager position. We are looking for someone who is happy to manage the day-to-day running of the site while also mucking in and getting involved with the work alongside the site team when required.

The successful candidate will be confident managing operatives, coordinating deliveries and subcontractors, maintaining health and safety standards and ensuring the project stays on programme, but will also be practical and willing to get stuck in when needed.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the day-to-day running of the site

* Manage and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors

* Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard

* Carry out regular site inspections and ensure health & safety procedures are followed

* Coordinate materials, deliveries and plant

* Read and understand drawings, specifications and RAMS

* Carry out toolbox talks and site briefings where required

* Monitor progress and report any issues to senior management

* Maintain accurate site records and paperwork

* Liaise with clients, contractors and other site personnel

* Help resolve any issues that arise on site

* Be hands-on and willing to assist the team with general site duties and practical work when required

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor

* Strong knowledge of construction site health and safety

* Relevant site management qualifications, ideally SMSTS

* CSCS card

* Good understanding of RAMS and site documentation

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Ability to manage a team while also working hands-on

* Reliable, proactive and willing to get stuck in

* Full understanding of site safety procedures
